Build a focused application

A practical sequence for choosing a role, finding evidence and drafting your application.

Work toward one useful output: an application that represents your experience accurately for a particular role.

1. Choose the target

Compare associate and territory responsibilities. Record the actual requirements in two job descriptions. Identify missing qualifications instead of assuming all sales roles are interchangeable.

2. Gather evidence

Complete the free evidence worksheet. For each requirement, write your action, a result if available and the limit of your ownership. A truthful description of a small contribution is more useful than an inflated team result.

3. Draft and check

Use the resume examples and achievement calculations. Read the draft aloud. For every number, ask whether you could explain the baseline, period and calculation.

4. Decide whether you need more help

The Career Field Guide develops the whole sequence with worked cases and editable sheets. The written review is a separate service for feedback on your own draft when available. Read the sample and scope before deciding.
