Resume review / Experienced candidates

Experienced medical sales representative resume review

Clarify territory scope, inherited business, growth calculations and personal contribution for your next role.

An experienced candidate's resume needs to make the commercial record interpretable. The written review examines what you owned, how the territory or portfolio changed, which results are supported and how the evidence fits the next role.

Scope before superlatives

“Grew a major territory” leaves several questions unanswered. What period, starting point and ending point? Was business inherited or newly developed? What did the candidate do, and what belonged to colleagues or external conditions?

The review does not assume every strong result was created by one person. It helps describe the achievement accurately enough to withstand follow-up.

Fictional review excerpt

Draft: “Increased revenue 20% from $800,000 to $1 million.”

Feedback: If these are comparable periods, the increase is $200,000 divided by the $800,000 starting point, or 25%. Confirm the underlying figures and whether territory changes affect the comparison before revising the claim.

Next question: Which actions contributed to the growth, and which result can reasonably be attributed to the candidate? Correct arithmetic does not settle ownership.

This example is fictional. Actual feedback uses the facts supplied by the customer and marks missing information for confirmation.
